Celebration Evening

Posted: 18th October 2018

On Tuesday 16 October, we celebrated the life of Mrs Hancox.  We were joined in the Hancox Theatre by her family and other special guests.  Mrs Hancox was a vital member of the Performing Arts department and she touched the lives of so many people at Lea Manor, both on and off the stage.

During her career at Lea Manor High School, the drama department produced performances of Hamlet, a devised piece London Riots, High School Musical and more.  We were entertained with excerpts of these during this memorable evening, along with readings and a song from the staff vocal group.

Rebecca Hancox was a truly inspirational person whose dedication to the Arts was reflected in her teaching and inspired pupils to pursue their Drama aspirations.
