Embedded Systems - Inside a TV.
Posted: 4th October 2019Today, Year 10 Computer Science pupils had the opportunity to investigate embedded systems within a smart television by taking apart an old Panasonic Television. By completing this hands-on practical activity, pupils were able to answer the following questions...
-
In what ways is the Panasonic television an “embedded system”?
-
Which components of the television would we find in an “average” computer?
-
How do the different components link together to work like a computer?
-
Where are the examples of RAM and ROM in this system?
Pupils found this experience greatly fascinating and had a great time working together to take apart and identify different parts of the smart television.
