Early School Dismissal Lea Manor High School

Dear Parents/Carers,

Due to the continued exceptionally high temperatures and in the interest of safeguarding our students and staff, the school will be sending students home early this week.

On Thursday 25th June and Friday 26th June 2026, students will be dismissed at 12:20pm on both days.

If you are unable to arrange childcare, we will provide supervision in school until the normal dismissal time. You must notify us by emailing learning@leamanorhighschool.org by 6:00pm the evening before (Wednesday night for Thursday, and Thursday night for Friday).

We are taking additional measures to ensure student safety during school hours, including:

• We encourage students to wear their Summer PE kit
• Encouraging regular hydration

Please note that scheduled Year 10 exams will be moved to the morning so pupils are not disadvantaged over the next 2 days.

We appreciate that this short-notice change may cause some inconvenience, but the wellbeing of our school community remains our highest priority.
