School Vision & Values
At Lea Manor High School we work together to inspire every one of our pupils to flourish and to grow into young adults of good character, who understand the power
of learning to shape a better future for themselves and for their communities.
We commit to doing this in a safe, happy and joyful environment that embraces the very best academic achievement for all and where each one of us has a keen sense
of belonging to a school that values respect, kindness, aspiration and effort.
To do this, we expect each other:
- to hold all our pupils and parents/carers in unconditional, positive regard;
- to recognise that every individual in the school has a right to feel safe, to feel happy, to feel confident and to belong to the school;
- to bring the highest possible professional standards to all aspects of our work;
- to work constructively and productively with each other, recognising that we achieve far more as a team than as individuals;
- to praise effort, hard work, resilience and achievement;
- to be open to improvement and engaged with professional growth;
- to model consciously the behaviour we expect of our pupils and of each other;
- to recognise, support and celebrate the value of our community’s cultural diversity;
- to speak positively about our pupils, about our school and about our community,
- including when identifying things that need to improve.
And we expect our pupils:
- to arrive at school and at lessons punctually, ready to learn, in full school uniform and with the equipment they need;
- to recognise that every individual in the school has a right to feel safe, to feel happy, to feel confident and to belong to the school;
- to listen actively in their lessons, to engage fully, to work hard and to respect other learners, never disrupting the learning of their classes;
- to take responsibility for their own learning and their personal organisation;
- to take responsibility for their own behaviour, recognising that it is integral to their learning;
- to show mutual respect and empathy to all members of the school and wider community;
- to recognise, support and celebrate the value of our community’s cultural diversity;
- to contribute towards the growth of our community by supporting others and by embracing opportunities for leadership and service;
- to be proud ambassadors for the school by behaving respectfully, courteously and considerately in the local community and on their way to and from school.
School Values
Our values are:
PRIDE: Taking pride in learning, behaviour and our role in the community. It fosters a sense of ownership and self-worth.
PRODUCTIVITY: Making productive choices that support our learning and the learning of others. It focuses on active participation and engagement.
PROGRESS: Shifting the focus to learning and growth. Our pride and productivity directly shape our academic and personal progress.
School Dictum
The school dictum ‘TOGETHER WE SUCCEED’ encapsulates Lea Manor High School’s core belief in the power of unity and shared achievement through:
- Belonging: When pupils and staff take pride in their work and their school, a stronger sense of belonging naturally develops. A positive and respectful environment, where everyone feels values, fosters this connection.
- Success: Productivity in our teaching and learning, coupled with a focus on progress for every pupil, is the engine of our collective success. When we are all actively working towards improvement and growth, our shared achievements will be significant.
